• Is life getting too much at times?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious or down?
  • Do you feel stuck or that life is passing you by but you don’t know how to change?

Sometimes people know exactly what is causing their negative emotions.  For example, you have a big presentation coming up at work and you are nervous of speaking in public or you would love to go on holiday but have a fear of flying.

Often, however, it is harder to pinpoint what is causing our distress or you feel overwhelmed most of the time.  It can really help to have someone impartial to talk to who can help you through these difficult times and give you the space out of your busy life to deal with whatever is causing your distress.  This is where therapy can help.

I know myself that I always feel better after talking through a problem with someone else as it can seem so much worse in our head but therapy goes a step further in giving you the space and tools to view it from a different perspective and deal with unhelpful patterns of behaviour and negative thoughts that may be impacting on several areas of your life.

Therapy, or counselling, can seem scary but when we meet you will see there is nothing to fear.  I aim to create a welcoming, supportive environment where we can work through the issues at hand.  I believe people seek therapy because they want something to change in their lives.  We will figure this out together and work towards it at your pace.
